We were introduced to Steve by a
mutual friend, as we were interested in purchasing a property
abroad. We gave Steve a brief of the type & price of property that
we required, and during our visit to Turkey, he spent a great deal
of time showing us around different properties from apartments to 4
bed villas. We were left to make our decision without any pressure
from him. When we had decided to purchase, Steve was there guiding
us through the buying process, from arranging solicitors,
translators, to opening bank accounts etc. Also taking us to buy
furniture and electrical goods and showing us around the local
areas.
We put our trust in Steve dealing with large amounts of cash
transfers and allowing him the use of our Turkish bank account, for
the distribution of funds where required, we were never disappointed
in his professional approach.
Since purchasing the property we have been using the services of no
1 Turkish home’s for the property management, including looking
after the property in our absence and future rentals.
We could never have wished to meet a more honest and trustworthy

Having tried a
few estate agents in Altinkum we met Steve carby of no1 Turkish
homes. He showed us a resale property that caught our eye and was
quickly negotiating a price for us it all happened so quickly before
we knew it we owned a house in turkey. I can only say there was no
pressure to buy at any time and we had a great tour of the area
before deciding. You only have your instincts to go on, ours were
obviously right.
We later decided to some major modifications to our property adding
extra bathrooms, bedrooms .double glazing, complete new electrics,
marble work and tiling. All this work carried out by Steve and his
team
Then we wanted a large swimming pool and all the garden terraced and
a large wall putting up for privacy all this work was done while we
were in England .Steve and his team gave us regular reports on our
work and often sent photos of the progress, he has even got framed
pictures of our work in his office.
Obviously there was a lot of money involved and every penny was
accounted for and full receipts where given.
We have more recently had solar energy systems fitted for free hot
water, security fitted to our house and mosaic pictures put on the
outside house walls.
All in all you would be very hard pushed to find a better or more
reliable service than we have received. We would definitely
recommend to anyone wanting to buy in turkey to go to this estate
agency, the trust and honesty you get is second to none.
You are more than just a customer they really do care they are also
our key holders and check our house when we go to England. What more
could you ask for.

I first met Steve
in the early part of 2003 a couple of months after my wife and I
had purchased a small but pleasant property in Altinkum a
hundred yards or so from where Steve lived, and although we did
not see a great deal of him over the next four years I can
recall to this day his immediate offer of help should I need it.
Fortunately through mutual friends and many Turkish
acquaintances I learned not only of Steve's reputation for
integrity, honesty and trustworthiness but his insistence on
fair play and a realistic but advantageous outcome to all
parties in the buying and selling of property.
We met more often in May of this year - 2007 - as I visited old
friends who had become very close friends of Steve and Lucy and
who were incredibly grateful for Steve and Lucy's help and
friendship as their age, health, and mobility were becoming more
and more restrictive. For various reasons we and our friends
decided to put our properties on the market and invited Steve to
act for us in the marketing of them as well as overseeing the
legal niceties and the administrative process. In our case this
was done a matter of days before we returned home to the UK on
June 18th.
Suffice it to say that Steve communicated very effectively by
email and telephone and that every promise he made regarding the
sale was put into effect so that when we returned to Altinkum on
September 24th 2007 there remained only some dotting of the i's
and crossing of the t's and the net proceeds of sale were
transferred to our Bank Account within a few days.
It must be remembered that, in principle, there is no major
legal difference in acquiring property in Turkey as compared to
the UK other than Government and/ Military approval but, in
practice, there is a greater urgency in carrying out the process
of buying and selling which for foreign buyers necessitates the
appointment of an honorable trustworthy and diligent agent who
would normally have an effective Power of Attorney so that the
due process of sale and purchase can be smoothly and effectively
implemented.
For British people in particular I would not hesitate in
recommending Steve and no1 Turkish homes to be their agent in
Turkey and act for them, not only because of there personal
qualities but for there practical knowledge of the way things
work there as well as there understanding of the psyche of
Turkish and British people. Steve is a diamond - seemingly hard
on the outside but a gem for all that.

When looking for
a home in Turkey we had the usual concerns when buying in another
country, but then we met Steve Carby at no1 Turkish homes he removed
all our fears he negotiated a better price for the apartment, helped
explain the legal side of buying in turkey, took us on shopping
trips to buy our furniture, supplied and fitted air conditioning,
and ceiling fans. Also Sorted out the security on the property and
had it fitted while we were in England all was done when we returned
to turkey it was perfect.
He regularly checks the apartment to make sure all is ok; and emails
reports to us nothing is too much trouble for Steve & his company. I

Steven Carby helped to find us the
perfect holiday home in Akbuk near Altinkum, in 2007, and made the
whole process a pleasurable experience.
We were very cautious and saw several estate agents in Altinkum but
found Steve to be unique in that he really listened to our
requirements and only showed us properties within our budget.
We were shown a range of properties, were never put under any
pressure and were taken to revisit our chosen property, on request,
both before and after the sale was complete.
Steve appears to have a laid back attitude, but at the same time is
very organised and efficient. Our sale transaction was complete in a
day, with Steve taking us to the tax office bank, notary’s office,
solicitors (and lunch). All the time he explained to us what was
happening and why it was necessary.
On our return to England, Steve has kept in touch with regular
updates. We required some additions to our property (ie air
conditioning and ironwork) which Steve organised for us and emailed
us photos of the completed works. You can say that his after-sales
service is second to none.
To date, we have not had the opportunity to re-visit and furnish our
house, but Steve has promised to take us shopping for furniture,
fixtures and fittings and to sort out payment of utility bills, etc.
We would certainly recommend Steve and NO1 Turkish homes to anyone
thinking of buying a property in Altinkum. You need to be able to
put your trust in somebody and Steve is trustworthy, reliable,
knowledgeable and importantly has a very friendly manner.

We are writing to state that Mr Steve Carby and Mr Mark Carby whom
in August 2007 we bought a two bed roomed villa from.
Steve showed my husband and me many properties when we mentioned
what we were interested in buying. What we really wanted was a
resale home. Steve showed us properties available and we were made
most welcome in their offices.
When Steve showed us to the villa we bought in Altinkum we were
literally dumbfounded with how taken we were with the villa.
It was just right for us, and our family, and the location more than
perfect less than five minutes from the beautiful beaches and
restaurants, bars and shops close by.
Steve provided us with very clear information about how to purchase
the villa which we very much wished to buy. He was both reassuring
and helpful with the before and after sales process.
Mark Carby also provided us with lots of information about Altinkum,
and the surrounding areas and he gave us immeasurable information
about the area and the customs of the Turkish people. Mark also
drove us around tirelessly back and forth through Altinkum to
familiarise us with the area which did give us confidence getting to
know our whereabouts. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble with
Steve and Mark. They took us to the Solicitors, the tax office,
passport office, banks, furniture stores, telephone stores. They
also helped us with the Turkish language and customs.
We would also like to say how kind and considerate Steve’s wife Lucy
treated us both. Showing us around the local shops, and markets, and
the best cake shops. .
Steve always keeps in contact by email and gives us regular updates
of what is happening in Altinkum they keep a good check on the
villa, which is really thoughtful.
They were really friendly and caring because it did genuinely mean a
lot to them to know that they provided a good reliable service to
their customers throughout the whole sales process from the before
and after sales and even continuing with future feedback and
quelling any concerns that we may have.
We would most strongly recommend their property sales services to

When we arrived
in Altinkum turkey we approached no1 Turkish homes with the view of
purchasing a two bed roomed apartment. We were taken by Steve carby
to view a 3 bed roomed duplex resale on special offer, we viewed the
property at our own leisure and at no time did we feel under
pressure .on buying the property we received excellent service in
getting our tax numbers & all legal dealings ect. We were surprised
that steve let us move in after contract even before we had paid all
the money owed.
On returning to the uk all extras that we required to be taken care
of had been done on our return.
Steve &mark then assisted us in furnishing our duplex; this was
amazingly achieved in one day. When we are back in the u.k. Steve
carries out regular security checks, and any cleaning is done for us
